Reliance Jio users will get two days of free extra service and this freebie will be added to their subscription.
Reliance Jio users from Mumbai had reported experiencing massive network issues on Saturday, February 5, and the service was down for nearly eight hours. These Jio plan users had no access to any service at all. To make up for the loss of Jio users, the telecom company has announced that it will provide two days of free service to all those Jio users who had problems with network outages. The additional service days are automatically added to the user’s registered number, while the existing subscription is extended for another two days. You don’t need to go to the Jio app or do anything else as this is free.
Reliance Jio is breaking the news to all those Jio users affected by the network outage issue that reads: “As a goodwill gesture, we are extending a 2-DAY RENTAL CREDIT that will be automatically applied to your number The free rental credit will be reflected in your next bill,” Telecom Talk reports. However, keep in mind that not all Reliance Jio users benefit from extra days of service, only those who experienced problems.
This is not the first time…
Jio users may be aware of it. This is not the first time Reliance Jio has had to compensate for a network outage. Last October, Jio users faced similar network issues. After that, Reliance Jio had offered two days of free unlimited subscription to all affected Jio subscribers to make up for their loss.
Jio’s networks have been down for hours for the second time in just a year. The allowance for the two days represents a benefit of something between ₹20- ₹40 from Jio for most customers according to their plan. Unfortunately, this freebie had to deal with network connectivity issues for hours on end for Jio users.
