How many movies have Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise starred in together?

Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise have worked together in Forrest Gump, The Green Mile and Apollo 13.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a 1994 film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom.

It was directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Tom Hanks as the good-natured, humble Forrest Gump.

It’s kind of a wacky comedy about a man who doesn’t seem to fit in anywhere and constantly stumbles into one adventure after another.

The film begins with Forrest’s birth in Alabama in the late 1940s.

He has a mental disability that makes him happy, loving and affectionate – perfect qualities for a man if you live your life in the slow lane.

As a young boy, he meets Jenny Curran (Robin Wright), with whom he immediately becomes friends.

But Jenny is too busy rebelling against her father to spend much time with Forrest.

She runs away from home to pursue an acting career, and Forrest follows her to college when she is admitted to the University of Alabama.

They share their first kiss there – or was it their second?

They can’t agree on that detail, but eventually Jenny leaves for New York City, where she becomes a successful fashion model.

Filmed in 200 days, it became a top 10 blockbuster and was nominated for nine Academy Awards at the 67th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Zemeckis.

The film was also nominated for four Golden Globe Awards and three BAFTA Awards.

In 1995, it won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director for Zemeckis at the 68th Academy Awards.

The film has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 75 reviews with an average rating of 8.

The green mile

The Green Mile is a 1999 film based on Stephen King’s 1996 novel of the same name.

The film was directed by Frank Darabont and stars Tom Hanks as the correctional officer and Michael Clarke Duncan as a death row inmate who has a supernatural gift.

The film follows Paul Edgecomb, a prosecutor at Cold Mountain Penitentiary in 1932. Edgecomb is played by Tom Hanks, who also directed the film.

Paul runs the “Green Mile” where death row inmates are held. John Coffey appears in prison and is immediately hated for being black.

However, when Edgecomb gets to know him, he discovers that Coffey has remarkable healing powers.

The Green Mile received positive reviews from critics and was nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor (Michael Clarke Duncan).

It grossed $136 million worldwide on a $50 million budget and was nominated for 5 Saturn Awards, including Best Fantasy Film and Best Actor for Tom Hanks.

Apollo 13

Apollo 13 is a 1995 American docudrama film directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise, and Ed Harris.

The screenplay by William Broyles Jr. and Al Reinert dramatizes the aborted 1970 Apollo 13 moon mission. It is an adaptation of the book Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by astronaut Jim Lovell (played by Hanks) and Jeffrey Kluger.

The film shows astronauts Lovell, Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) and Fred Haise (Bill Paxton) aboard Apollo 13 for America’s third moon landing mission.

En route, an explosion on board robs their spacecraft of its oxygen supply and electrical power.

This forces NASA’s flight controllers to abort the moon landing and turn the mission into a battle to get the three men home safely.
