Murder of YNW Melly
Police arrested him and charged him with double homicide on October 17, 2017. He was incarcerated in the Miami Dade County Jail in Florida.
Police charged him with two counts of first degree murder and possession of a firearm after his arrest.

The teenager was complicit in the murder of two men in 2016 at a very young age. He killed Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr.
Still, witnesses said three people were present during the crime.
According to witnesses, his friend and member of The Real YNW and Raheem Robinson were complicit in the murders.
According to police reports, the suspect tied both victims to chairs and beat them before the shooting.
The not guilty plea
During pleadings, he pleaded not guilty to all charges, denying his explicit involvement in the ordeal.
His trial took place from May 2019 to June 20, 2019. After that, the verdict of the conviction was announced publicly on July 16.
YNW Melly was handed a mandatory life sentence with no chance of getting out before serving 25 years behind bars.
The aspiring talent was taken into custody immediately after his conviction, according to the court order against him.
He is currently incarcerated at Florida State Prison in Bradford County, Lawtey, Florida.
The Court’s Findings
The court sentenced the rapper to life in prison without parole after finding him guilty of the atrocities.
