What happened to Molly and Jacob Roloff

Jacob Roloff and Molly Roloff, both children of Matt and Amy Roloff, no longer appeared in Little People, Big World. Molly Roloff quietly slipped away and appeared only sparsely on the show. On the other hand, Jacob decided to talk about the reasons, stating that scenes were created to create “drama” to appease the audience. He went on to state that he was sexually assaulted by one of the producers. Both have done separate things, although the remaining Roloffs, other than Jeremy and his wife, are still actively involved in the show.

What happened to Molly

Molly only shows up when the show cameras are off to take family photos and participate in family events such as vacations. It seems that she has chosen a quiet life. While the Roloffs never clearly stated why she dropped out of the show, one can assume it has something to do with where she lives. As the public knows, she is the only daughter of Matt and Amy, and in August 2017, she married Joel Silvius on their family farm, after which the new couple decided to move to Spokane, Washington. According to her LinkedIn profile, Molly is currently working at an accounting firm. Spokane is a seven-hour drive from her family’s farm, so the distance could be a major reason she couldn’t be with her family regularly for the show’s production. Despite their decisions, the siblings are very close to the family, and this became apparent during Molly’s wedding when she said, “We feel blessed to have been able to celebrate our marriage surrounded by so many people we love.”

On the other hand, Jacob Roloff stepped forward with a disturbing statement about being sexually assaulted by one of the producers on the series. In a lengthy statement uploaded to his Instagram account, he claimed he was abused by Chris Cardamone while working with his family. He claims it felt easier to think about the events than to discuss them openly, thus the reason for his delay, and it is this delay that gave him the courage and words to talk about it. He wrote: “As a child, after what I now realize was a long grooming process, I was harassed by an executive field producer for ‘Little People, Big World.'” While he said he has no plans to provide details about the incident, the former star said he hopes Cardamone will never be allowed near children again. Several attempts to reach him for comment were unsuccessful.

Jacob’s problem with reality television

Jacob is Amy and Matt’s youngest child. He was only nine when the series was first released. Currently, the show has produced over 20 seasons. According to Jacob, his supposed experience indicates that anyone can be the target of sexual assault at any time, and it’s a real problem that’s more repetitive than what the existing stigma represents. In his statement, he compared reality television to voyeurism and criticized the consequences of growing up weekly as a household name. He says he will continue his reflection on the voyeurism that is rampant in reality television, a giant eyesore characterized by pain, drama and arguing, sprinkled with a bit of luck. The viewers, he says, are completely delusional, as they don’t see the contestants as humans, but rather as characters who are only meant to appear on TV for entertainment.

Family Support

He went on to say that while the gains were sweet, the real experience was complicated. He concluded his comments by stating that all problems are with the production crew and that no one should blame his family members. His relatives offered their support to his mother, saying, “I love you forever and ever Jacob. I am proud of you. Now you don’t have to feel alone and carry this with you.” His wife also said: “Proud to know you, proud to love you, proud to be your wife.” Like Molly, Jacob married Isabell on the family farm in September 2019. Following in the footsteps of Jacob and Molly Jeremy also announced that he would no longer be on the show as he wanted to focus on other projects, and the magazine can only hope the three continue to succeed in their own way.
